Job description
The successful candidate must use the above skills to complete the following in the Advertising sales position:
Secure new clients and maintain existing client business.
Build and maintain long term enduring relationships with agencies keeping them constantly updated on the advertorial line-ups, new rates and industry developments.
Demonstrate passion and commitment to building the 25° in Africa brand as much as possible.
Develop account plans and strategies in line with the overall strategy formulated by the Advertising Sales Manager.
Maintain a high level of relevant industry knowledge.
Create tailored solutions which meet the client's short and long-term communications needs.
Creatively use all sales tools.
Sales presentations.
Provide after-sales service to clients in support of the sales function.
Administrative tasks regarding own sales activities.
Maintain correct information about clients, budget, planning periods, media activity.
Management of client copy and creative material for publishing.
Maintain the positive image of the company.
Build and maintain a strong working relationship with clients and agencies to establish trust and confidence.
Attend industry functions and networking opportunities
Selling online and electronic newsletter space on 25° in Africa
Managing media barters and trade exchanges

The energy industry in a fast growing industry and 25° in Africa has positioned itself to be a leader in this field. We report on all energy related issue, targeted at top level management. A glossy, niche publication that narrows the gap between the industry professionals. This magazine has won numerous awards for its content driven reportage of the energy industry.

The website is a big area of expansion for us for 2011. It covers the whole energy industry. We sell advertising space on the website.
Newsletter
The monthly newsletter has advertising space that we sell. It functions as a primary driver to direct traffic to the website.
Events
We host several large and smaller events for leaders in the climate change arena. We sell sponsorship for these events. The representative will also sell these sponsorship opportunities.
Supplements
25° in Africa has several supplementary products the rep will on. These will be discussed at the interview.
