Caribbean Restaurant Manager - Sunrise Caribbean Restaurant - Toronto ON - Canada

$19.30/ hour, Permanent, full time in Toronto (1 vacancy)

Duties:
- Plan, organize, direct as well as control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or other food or beverage service
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Oversee and train staff
- Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
- Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with:
   - Suppliers for ethnic foods and other supplies
   - Clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.

Requirements:
- Experience: 1-5 years in Caribbean culinary food preparation environment
- Certificate in Caribbean culinary food service administration, hotel or restaurant management or related discipline
- Food Handler Certification or in the process of acquiring one

Essential Skills
- Respond to customer complaints.
- Control inventory.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Implement operational procedures.
- Supervise staff of 7 employees.
- Recruit, hire and train staff.
- Conduct performance reviews.
