The CTO will oversee the strategic direction, planning, engineering and support of SaskTel's broadband service provider network including an estimated capital investment of $1.2B over the next five years. They will be called upon to dedicate further focus to network development (FTTP, 4G and LTE specifically), dig deeper into emerging technologies, services and applications, develop transformation technologies and work with the executive leadership team to steer the future course of SaskTel.

This individual will possess advanced educational credentials with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred. They must also possess extensive knowledge of the telecommunications and global competitive environment, and at least 15 years of successful technology management experience. They will have the ability to think long-term in the area of technology, and be able to identify new opportunities for SaskTel to capitalize on.

A high level of comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever evolving industry is a must. This individual will also be able to work collaboratively with the executive leadership team, build relationships with external bodies, and empower all those around them to be better. Change-management, professionalism, strategy and an innovative mindset are all tools this leader will possess.
