Life Saving Victoria (LSV), established in 2002 is Victoria’s peak Water Safety and Lifesaving organisation with a mission to prevent aquatic related death and injury across all Victorian communities.

We strive to provide all Victorians with water safety, swimming, resuscitation, and safe beaches, water environments and aquatic venues. We achieve this by working with our members, communities, educational institutions, governments, and other organisations in the provision of best practice education, training, surveillance and rescue and risk management services.

Life Saving Victoria’s (LSV) Education Services conducts programs statewide and also delivers national programs initiated by Royal Life Saving Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia. LSV programs aim to educate students, teachers and the community in water safety, emergency response and aquatic rescue.

The Coordinator – School Education Services, will be responsible for coordinating and leading the development and delivery of these water safety and lifesaving education programs to schools and the community, in a range of aquatic environments.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated person to oversee the day-to-day coordination and development of Life Saving Victoria’s School Education function.

This role involves plenty of task variety including the promotion, marketing development, delivery and evaluation of a range of programs, the key responsibilities of the role are;
•Staff Coordination – overseeing the coordination of a pool of education trainers, including performance management, rostering and day-to-day coordination.
•Program Delivery – delivery and quality control of programs including risk management, program monitoring and continuous improvement.
•Program Development – development, implementation and ongoing management of initiatives and projects for education programs. Identifying new opportunities and promoting existing programs.
•Relationship Management - support and build relationships with a range of key stakeholders including internal stakeholders, schools, members, affiliated agencies, national bodies, private sector organisations, government departments, sponsors and volunteers.
•Resource Management – coordination of delivery and maintenance for a series of resources including program resources, kits, publications, web content and social media.

We seek a proactive thinker, who enjoys working in a team environment. You will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, with a flexible, “can do” attitude. With a strong knowledge of water safety, lifesaving, Royal Life Saving Society Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.

The successful applicant will need to have strong knowledge of the Victoria school system with demonstrated instructional/teaching experience, a degree in Physical Education of similar discipline desirable. Previous experience delivering and presenting to a variety of audiences essential. You will have strong administrative skills, customer service focus and strong event management and project management skills. Previous experience coordinating staff and rosters required.
