Executive Participation Marketing - Midrand - South Africa

The main purpose of this position is to support the organisational goals through the management of a profitable and award winning Division.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for effectively managing, planning and implementing all participation marketing activities related to the effective management and functioning of the division, assuming responsibility for the financial control and working of the department.
The job purpose would also include the highest levels of customer service, original strategic and creative thinking, action ability and being pro-active with the goal to make the division indispensable to a client on a long-term basis. Part of this will include leading the establishment of the new Participation Marketing Toolkit, not just internally, but also within the client's Marketing division and the rest of industry.
Main Responsibilities
1. Divisional Strategy - develop and implement a divisional strategy that will ensure that the company retain and grow this business critical account over the long-term.
2. Client Strategy - develop and implement a "sponsorship/brand promotions" participation marketing strategy for client that will maximize their return on objectives and ensure that their brand continue to outperform their competitors on all key brand health indicators.
3. Client Service - develop and implement a client service model that will ensure complete client satisfaction through all levels of the client structure
4. Product / IP Development - co-develop the new Trinergy Participation Marketing movement by refining the Toolkit Framework and detailing the actual Toolkit.
5. Operational Management - ensure that all campaigns / projects are implemented by following best practice project management methodologies and maintain company's reputation of executional excellence in the industry. Management of the entire sponsorship / brand promotions cycle from the evaluation of strategy and proposals, through to the negotiations of contracts, the development of campaigns, the implementation of campaigns and the measurement and reporting on campaigns
Requirements
Brand and Industry knowledge is critical.
Proven track record, preferably award-winning, in implementing sponsorship strategies/campaigns.
Three+ year bachelor degree in Marketing from a reputable tertiary institution is required.
10+ year's brand management experience and a solid understanding of brands, marketing and client service; preferably work experience in an agency (ATL, TTL or BTL) with minimum three years experience in the Retail/FMCG environment.
One to three years brand experience in activating sport and entertainment properties would be beneficial.
The role requires an intellectual that can play a demanding role in positioning leading brands within the sport and entertainment space.
Driven, proactive and self-motivated to meet assigned business goals.
Experience in leading three or more major end to end campaign implementation projects as a
Flair for marketing
Extensive knowledge and passion for brands and brand marketing (local, regionally and internationally)
Extensive knowledge of consumer marketing
Thorough understanding of Brand research and research interpretation
Commercially astute - must understand how brands convert strategy to revenue
Must have exceptional communication skills: both written to verbal (will need to deal with numerous people in creative and project teams as well as clients)
Must be able to provide measurable components to promotional BTL executions.
