- Plan, organize, direct as well as control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or other food or beverage service
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Oversee and train staff
- Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
- Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with:
   - Suppliers for ethnic foods and other supplies
   - Clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.

Huka Prawn Park located in Great Lake Taupo is looking for an energetic & enthusiastic member to take the reins of our busy a la carte kitchen.
This is predominately a daytime role and requires a close working relationship with the owners.  You are tasked with managing all aspects of the kitchen.  This includes managing food & wage costs, menu planning, stock and quality control, and hands on leadership of your team. 

•Assist Pastry Chef in backing breads & pastries
•Making confectionery from chocolate
•Maintain the general cleanliness and safety of the kitchen
•Maintain cleanliness of equipments, work tops and fridges at all time
•Ensure quality and quantity of food served
