1. Create a detailed marketing plan according to the company's needs and business plan.
2. Brand building of magazine titles.
3. Launching of new magazine titles, books, etc. into the market - by means of interviews, press releases, special offers, etc.
4. Establish good relations with the industry media like the Media Magazine, Advantage Magazine, Biz Community, etc.
5. Liaison with the media like radio, television, newspapers, etc. to set up interviews, get media coverage, find media partners, etc.
6. Responsible for and conceptualizing of all events, press conferences, promotions, happenings, etc.
7. Increase "top of mind" awareness among consumers and the general public.
8. Responsible for digital (mobile, web, etc.) marketing.
9. Conceptualising of all promotional material like banners, posters, pamphlets, etc.
Requirements
• A diploma or degree in marketing/branding/communications;
• Excellent organisational abilities;
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Strong telephone and communication skills;
• The willingness to be a team player;
• The ability to work under pressure;
Personal Skills/Attributes
The ideal candidate is flexible, success orientated, and has a positive outlook. It includes assistance on events, liaising with clients, sponsorship administration, creating presentations, market research and reporting, and many daily administrative tasks required on the brands.
