An exciting and challenging opportunity exists with a truly South African high-value commodity trading company.
Our client seeks your tertiary marketing qualification coupled with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. Must have thorough understanding of ATL & BTL concepts, promotions, events and media planning.
Responsibilities:
Below the Line and Above The Line:
- Assist with the administration, implementation and follow through of the various marketing channels marketing and promotional plans
- Proofing of creative work
- Briefing and de-briefing of creative work
- Liaising with and building relationships with all internal and external parties
- Participate in promotional planning meetings for the various channels and source new marketing ideas and mediums
Events
- Assisting with planning and implementation of all marketing events and promotions.
- Assisting with set up and break down of marketing events and promotions as and when required.
- Assisting at the various events as required.
Media Planning:
- Assist with media planning and buying.
- Booking and placement of adverts for newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, centre courts and other promotions.
- Orders to be processed.
Internal Communication:
- Manage, update and distribute marketing packs to departments.
- Communicate all marketing activities across all departments.
- Concept and maintain the internal newsletter.
Admin/Marketing Duties:
- Daily monitoring and capturing of related articles and competitor activity.
- Minutes to promotional planning meetings.
- Update and implement action points on promotional plans.
- Update call ins and walk ins weekly.
- General admin duties such as faxing; filing etc.
- Diary management of the Group Marketing Manager.
- Management of the ordering process.
- Receiving and processing of invoices for payment.
- Feedback and follow through of all bookings/orders.
- Any extra duties as required by the marketing department.
Requirements
• Marketing Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum two years work experience within a Marketing Department.
• Strong MS Office skills at an Advanced Level.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Own transport and valid drivers license essential

Remuneration: R13 000 p/m
