Vinson Hall Retirement Community, an equal opportunity employer and a premier CCRC located on a beautiful campus in Mclean, VA, is seeking a Marketing Director to join our dynamic leadership team.

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the VHRC marketing team to achieve census goals for all levels of care, including the planned independent living expansion.  This position manages a team selling both existing and “blue sky” apartment homes, including overseeing the sales process from inquiry generation through move-in.   This position also manages the development of various marketing strategies, including, but not limited to, marketing communications, prospect and referral development, incentive programs, and operational excellence. 

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:
•Manages all aspects of marketing and sales for all levels of care at VHRC, including the upcoming independent living expansion and Medicare A certification launch.Develops and manages the implementation of a strategic marketing plan.
•Develops and manages the marketing budget.  Responsible for developing incentives as needed.
•Supervises the daily work and overall job performance of the marketing staff.
•Establishes goals for each staff member and monitors performance toward reaching those goals.
•Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring.Proactively networks with other service line directors and management staff within the retirement community. 
•Collaborates with other departments on initiatives when appropriate.
•Develops and implements strategy for advertising, direct mail, the website, in-house and external events. 
•Coordinates the development, review, and production of advertisements, direct mail, brochures, and other marketing materials. 
•Develops monthly Census Variance Report and other reports as requested.Serves as an integral member of the Senior Director Management Team.  Attends board and committee meetings as required.

Job Requirements
Position Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
•7 or more years of sales, marketing, customer service or related experience
•Previous management experience required
•Experience working with older adults or in the healthcare industry preferred
•Experience working with military personnel preferred
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
