Siemens Flow Instruments A/S is the centre of competence for flow measurement within the Siemens group and supports Siemens‘ role as the leading supplier of automation solu¬tions for industry. We develop and manufacture high-tech flow meters, which are used in process control, process optimization and billing applications, worldwide.

Siemens develops and manufactures high end electronic flow meters based on the different measuring principles: Ultrasound, Coriolis and Electromagnetic Induction. The range of applications is increasing rapidly in almost all industry areas where flow is a key process parameter. To support this growth we need to strengthen our R&D team with an expert in material sciences mainly for the Electromagnetic Flow meter technology.

Your challenges
Key player in the innovation and technological development of flow meters across our 3 technologies
Be the link between science and practical implementation in the actual sensor design
Communicate and present your knowledge internal as well as external
Participate in international seminars and workshops to extend your knowledge and represent Siemens
Be the link to Universities and other scientific institutions in areas relevant for advancing flow meter technologies
Assist in our collaboration with approval authorities covering food and beverage industries

Professional and personal qualifications
Master of Science in Material sciences preferably extended with a PhD within polymers
Profound knowledge within polymer manufacturing processes
Profound knowledge within corrosion processes
You have an analytical mindset, are structured and highly motivated to refine and develop future technologies. As a person you are selfdriven and proactive. You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to communicate and explain complex matters also to non experts. You are fluent in English orally as well as in writing.
