We have a Nurse Educator vacancy for 12 months due to parental leave.
We are looking for a competent Nurse Educator to develop the competency and capability of the nursing workforce within Ward 6 South, through the provision of core and specialty skill development and education thus supporting a safe patient journey.
6 South is a 36 bed inpatient ward that will provide secondary and tertiary level care for patients with cardiac health problems. Patients treated by the ward on a secondary level are domiciled in the Wellington region, Porirua basin and Kapiti Coast. Tertiary referrals are accepted from the Hutt Valley, Manawatu, Wairarapa, Whanagnui, Hawkes Bay and Nelson-Marlbourgh districts. All modern cardiac services are represented except cardiac transplantation and complex paediatric procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse with senior cardiology and cardiothoracic experience to join us in providing an excellent quality of care for patients of all ages and cultures. Our aim is for patients to reach their full potential of health through care, support and shared responsibility via a well educated ward workforce.
