Job description
Responsibilities:
•To generate new business leads (brands and agencies) through thorough market research and data collection (via telephone, online and trade sources).
•To identify the key decision makers in appropriate brands and agencies.
•Make cold calls and book appointments for the relevant Marketing / Activation Managers.
•To achieve weekly targets and to book a set number of appointments per month.
•To target and develop new products and product sectors of the event.
•To manage the data in the client database effectively.
•Ensure administration systems and procedures are understood and adhered to.
•Ensure continuous relations with clients/ key accounts from inception, pre-event, during event and post event.
•Ensure credit control policies and procedures are understood and adhered to.

Requirements
Three to four years' experience in senior sales position
An understanding of South African culture and events marketplace
Results focused and success oriented
Hunger for sales and the desire to succeed
Highly motivated and enthusiastic
High level of customer focus and support
Knowledge and interest in the food and drink industry
Excellent negotiator and communicator - both written and verbal form
Creativity and initiative in a sales environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
Diplomatic and tactful
