Senior Accountant - Finance Manager - Oman Managers

Desired Candidate Profile
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent, MBA preferred.
Minimum six years prior finance experience, preferably in a Construction / Real Estate industry out of which 3 years in audit.
Consolidation, financial statements preparation and analysis, ad hoc reporting to support management decision making budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience preferred.
Competence in Microsoft Office suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, array formulas, macros, etc) required. Experience with complex, integrated business software systems.
Demonstrated competence of general accounting principles with strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
Strong interpersonal, written, presentation and communication skills.
Must be extremely detail oriented and be able to work with little or no supervision. Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with developing complex financial models.

The Senior Accountant / Finance Manager, under the supervision of the Financial Controller is responsible for enhancing the internal controls throughout the organization, development and implementation of an internal annual audit plan. This position is responsible for maintaining the financial policies and procedures manual and providing first level accounting research and analysis. Position is also the liaison for the annual financial audit.
Role is a leadership role in implementing continuous improvement initiatives for financial and accounting processes, methods and practices (including systems). This includes responsibility for developing best business practices for our future activities and managing operations directly.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing quality service to all constituencies of organization. S/he must possess the interpersonal and customer service skills to interact effectively with both system and organization personnel. S/he will exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles and will be committed to the tenets of Organization Mission and Vision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage monthly book close of subsidiaries.
2. Prepare/review monthly reporting package which includes income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, actual / budget variance.
3. Analysis, financial statement analysis and commentary.
4. Prepare/review the recording of transactions into the general ledger.
5. Prepare/review monthly account reconciliations, bank reconciliation and other schedules.
6. Partner with management team of subsidiary and provide decision making support.
7. Provide technical and administrative support for annual financial audit and manage compliance efforts for all external regulatory requirements. Act as department liaison to the external auditors.
8. Provide leadership in evaluating current accounting practices and procedures and developing best-in-class processes.
9. Own and administer financial & accounting policies and procedures including process improvement initiatives and development and delivery of training to Organization staff.
10. Develop and implement an annual internal audit plan. Execute the internal audit plan (including on-site reviews and audits as necessary).
11. Evaluate and document financial and accounting policies and procedures for international operations. Develop consistent processes (including management of cash flows and accounting and tax activities).
12. Provide accounting and financial planning leadership for Organization including oversight of Organization’s partners (including review of partner records and compliance with contractual requirements).
13. Maintain and lead internal projects for improvement of financial and accounting processes, practices and procedures.
14. Oversee all and compliance activities and calendar.
15. Special projects as required by the management.
Interviews will be conducted at Mumbai(Bombay) & Bengaluru(Banglore) in 3rd/4rth week of March 2010.
